Praise and worship is all about God not you. NEVER sing a song with the main purpose of trying to impress the congregation with your vocals.
Communicate the music’s message. During performance it is very important to communicate the message of the song. It helps if you truly understand the message yourself.
If you make a “mistake” don’t point it out to your audience. It is most likely they did not even notice.
NEVER sing a song if you don’t know or are not sure of the lyrics, especially a song sung in a dialect you don’t understand. If you have to sing it, take the time to learn it.
“The most important part of singing is knowing how to breathe properly. Without proper breath support, your voice won’t be able to support the notes you want to sing. How you inhale will affect how you exhale, which will then affect the quality of sound, volume, pitch, and tone of your voice. With a solid understanding of how to properly breathe, you will be able to fully utilize your singing voice and become a much better singer!“
“Breathing properly for singingrequires the shoulders to remain down and relaxed, not rise with the breath intake. Its like blowing air into a balloon. A singer will gain power to their voice by strengthening the muscles in their ribcage and back.”
Airflow. “Never hold your breath while singing. The airflow is what creates and carries your vocal tone, so keep it flowing.learning how to breathe properly when singing is the key to achieving this tip”
